Digikam can’t yet store metadata in video files so instead one can create a thumbnail file and store the metadata in that. Digikam uses exiv2 and this feature is apparently imminent. Solved: Fixes flickering flash videos (eg YouTube) in both Opera and Firefox

You’re uploading or reviewing a video on YouTube and notice that the aspect ratio is wrong – the video image is squashed or their are black bars around the video. It’s really easy to fix!
